The Leveller™ is an educational contract intelligence tool created by Get SAFE (Support After Financial Exploitation), founded by Steve Conley. Our mission is to create information symmetry between individuals and financial institutions.

2. What this app does
The Leveller™ allows you to submit contract text — by pasting, uploading a PDF, or scanning — for AI-powered analysis. The app identifies potential risks, hidden costs, and power imbalances in the contract and generates a plain-English report.
The Leveller™ is an educational tool. It does not provide legal or financial advice.
3. What data we collect
We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the service:
- Contract text you submit — the text, PDF content, or camera scan you provide for analysis. This is sent to the Anthropic Claude API to generate your report.
- Contract type and institution name — if you choose to provide these, to improve the relevance of the analysis.
- Session data — if you use the Save/Load session feature, your session is stored locally on your device only. We do not store sessions on our servers.
We do not collect your name, email address, location, or any account information. The app does not require you to register or log in.
4. How we use your data
Contract text you submit is used solely to generate your analysis report. Specifically:
- It is transmitted securely to the Anthropic Claude API via our serverless proxy
- It is not stored by us after your session ends
- It is not used to train AI models by us
- It is not shared with any third party other than Anthropic for the purpose of generating your analysis
5. Third-party services
Anthropic (Claude API) — contract text is processed by Anthropic's Claude AI model to generate analysis. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing: anthropic.com/privacy
Vercel — the app is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure. Vercel may process standard server logs (IP address, request metadata) in the course of hosting. Vercel's privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
6. Data retention
We do not retain contract text or analysis results on our servers. Each analysis request is processed in real time and discarded. Any session data you save is stored locally on your device and can be deleted by you at any time.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access any personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to processing
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk
As we hold no personally identifiable data about users, most of these rights will not be applicable in practice. To exercise any right, contact: info@get-safe.org.uk
8. Children
The Leveller™ is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. The app is designed to help adults understand financial and commercial agreements.
9. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Our API proxy is a serverless function that does not log or persist contract content. API keys are stored as environment variables and are never exposed to the client.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
